The upcoming trade event, involving representatives from Afghanistan, India and the United States, is a big opportunity for investment in Afghanistan, Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah said Monday.
The event in New Delhi, sponsored by U.S. and hosted by India, will be first of its kind and it comes after U.S. called for Indias more efforts in Afghanistan as it announced a new strategy on the war-torn country last month.
Abdullah, who is expected to inaugurate the event, said that trade and investment opportunities in Afghanistan will be discussed among Afghan, Indian and American investors during his visit to New Delhi.
Addressing the regular ministerial council meeting, he said that 200 Afghan investors will attend the event which he described as a big opportunity for investment in Afghanistan.
He also said he will hold bilateral meetings with India during the visit.
